Primary Math Educator Program
Aarohan, in collaboration with Sajhe Sapne, is a residential year-long program that focuses on equipping women with necessary knowledge, skills, and mindsets to become proficient Math educators. We aim that the women see a career in STEM by making Math a visual experience, relevant, contextual and engaging. The core of Math education – a culture of debate, discussion and justification is kept at the core of the training.
The training sessions focuses on two aspects
1. Conceptual Clarity – Primary math topics:
The module emphasis on building strong conceptual understanding in the following primary topics Numeracy, Shapes and Spaces, Fractions and Measurements
2. Pedagogy – Active thinking Classroom:
The training aims to create educational environments designed to promote student engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking. These classrooms depart from traditional lecture-style setups by providing flexible, interactive spaces that facilitate active learning strategies.
